The slave trade and the sea as it continues to unfold. A can of tuna, a day of necessary sustenance for some. Yet the human capital that remains at sea in this “out of sight, out of mind” world we live in.
Supply chain accountability is important in all major food supply industries. From palm oil and mitigating cash cropping impacting habitat forestry and ecosystem circuits for larger networks of land health. To how many human rights abuses we unknowingly allow for affordable food.
The humble can of tuna, we all know the damage of trawlers to the ocean floor. But do we know the impact to the layers of human capital that goes into creating the can of sustenance itself…

I would love to enjoy my tuna with knowing it does not just impact dolphins and ecosystems. But that the humans in the chain have options in their life, if they deserve them.
Ah black and gold as a brand…
More transparency please.
Unless you can give us a ship with crew to serve our new colony… Could turn a blind eye mate.
